About the Arthzo Team & Our Editorial Policy

Who writes and reviews Arthzo's guides and calculators, where our numbers come from, and how we keep them up to date.

In short: Arthzo is written and reviewed by a small team led by a public-sector banking professional with nine years of branch banking experience and a background in teaching. Every rate, rule and deadline on the site is checked against an official source — RBI, the Ministry of Finance, PIB, the Indian Banks' Association, the Labour Bureau or the bank concerned — before it is published.

Who we are

Arthzo explains Indian personal finance in plain English and Hindi: bank accounts, deposits, loans, credit cards, government savings schemes, tax and salary rules for bank and government employees. The team combines hands-on banking experience — account opening, loans, deposits, customer grievances and the internal rules behind them — with experience teaching complex topics simply.

Pages marked "Reviewed by the Arthzo Team" have been checked by this team before publishing and again whenever the underlying rule or rate changes.

Where our information comes from

  • Regulators and government: RBI circulars and master directions, Ministry of Finance notifications, PIB releases, CBDT, PFRDA, SEBI and NPCI.
  • Pay and allowances: Indian Banks' Association circulars, Bipartite Settlements and Joint Notes, Department of Expenditure office memoranda, and Labour Bureau CPI-IW data.
  • Products and charges: each bank's own published rate cards and schedules of charges.

Estimates — such as an expected DA rate before it is announced — are always labelled as estimates and show how they were calculated.

How we keep pages current

  • Rate-based pages (DA, FD and loan rates, repo rate, small savings schemes) are reviewed every month and whenever an official change is announced.
  • Evergreen guides are reviewed at least every quarter.
  • The "Last updated" date on a page changes only when its content has been checked or corrected — never just to look fresh.
  • Calculators show the rules and rates they use, so you can check the working.
